1 Is there an application deadline?
Yes, the priority deadline is March 25. We recommend you apply as early as possible to improve your chance of being hired at the school of your choice.
2 Do I need to be certified in Texas to apply?
Yes, you must have a valid teaching certificate from the Texas Education Agency (TEA)—or be on track to have one by the fall of 2019—to be eligible for a permanent position teaching in our schools. There are several options for getting certified and launching a teaching career at Midland Independent School District.
3 I’ve submitted my application. When will I hear back?
You can track the status of your application through your online application account. Campus administrators and interview teams schedule interview days throughout the year. Once your application is activated, hiring managers may invite you to an interview.
4 I’m interested in working at a school, but not as a teacher. Do I apply here?
If you are interested in applying for other school-based positions, please visit the main district website.
